Coweeta LTER Partners with UGA's Carl Vinson Institute of Government to Investigate County Governance Structure

Each year, the the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia hosts three Vinson Fellows; exceptional students seeking experience in public administration and government. In the Fall of 2011, one fellow, Cameron Day, teamed up with the Vinson Institute's local government services Manager, Ted Bagget, and the Coweeta LTER in a cross-campus collaboration to study long-term shifts in local government in southern Appalachia. 

Post-Doctoral Scholar Position Available for the Study of Science, Technology and Society

Applications are invited for a 1-year postdoctoral scholar position at the University of Georgia to undertake research at the intersections of Science, Technology and Society (STS), participatory community research and strategic communication that is relevant to the NSF-funded Coweeta Long Term Ecological Research (CWT LTER) Program (http://coweeta.uga.edu/). Renewal for a second year may be possible contingent on satisfactory performance.
