One hundred and twenty-three stations throughout Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia contribute decades of weather data, currently spanning the years 1931-2004.  Climate data data is collected from the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), managed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and represents monthly readings from weather stations throughout the Coweeta LTER southern Appalachian study region.

These data sets are large. Coweeta LTER IM, at researcher request, will be happy to generate custom data sets and FTP or mail CD to your site. (706.542.5691, email: barriec@uga.edu).
