The centerpiece of the Coweeta Geographic Network (COGENT) is an interactive GIS map viewer and data downloader whose extents represent GIS data covering the 54,000 square kilometer range of the southern Appalachian region where Coweeta LTER research is focused.

Land Cover Across Space and Time
 Coweeta LTER has generated land cover classifications over the breadth of the entire southern Appalachian region.  These land cover classifications span 1986-2001 in five year increments, contributing to efforts to measure change over time in the region.
 
 

USGS Digital Topographic Maps
 Digital Raster Graphics (DRGs) are digital copies of standard USGS map series topographic maps.  The Coweeta LTER collection covers the southern Appalachian region and is available at 1:24,000, 1:100,000, and 1:250,000 scale.
