How do I prepare my computer to participate in a Wimba virtual classroom?
Each time a new computer is used to connect to a Wimba virtual classroom presentation, the Setup Wizard must be run. This ensures that all necessary software and configurations are installed for using Wimba. If done in advance of the presentation, you can identify potential problems and fix them before the event.

The Setup Wizard consists of a series of tests that closely simulate the different components necessary for logging in to a Wimba presentation. With each test, the Wizard provides instructions on what to do if additional software or an adjustment to the system configuration is needed.

To run the Wizard on a new computer, log in to WebCT (https://webct.uga.edu) using your user name and password then click on the course name, ANT8500 – From Yardstick to Gyroscope. Click on the icon labeled Wimba Gateway on the course Homepage, and once on the Live Classrooms page click the setup wizard and follow the instructions.
