The following species lists contain summaries of a variety of organisms in the region studied by the research team of the Coweeta LTER program. The format for each list varies reflecting the size and biological organization of the organism list. The landscape range where each species list applies varies considerably and is noted at the top of each list. We welcome
additional species lists, edits to the verbiage preceding the
lists, and changes to the lists themselves if there have been
classification changes for any of the organisms. Citations to
the publications containing all or parts of each list as well
as publications necessary to interpret some variables in the
lists have been included. Where possible, email links to the
person or people who primarily compiled the lists have also been
