Synergistic Activities:
Past work supported by NSF under the Coweeta LTER program has been
integrated with my teaching activities at the small liberal arts college
where I work. I regularly involved students as field and lab technicians.
Five of these students have made presentations at professional meetings.
Two of them have co-authored papers.
I have also used the research to enhance my teaching leading to the
development of new courses in ecological research methods and
applications of GIS at my institution. The research led to the
development of laboratory exercises in the field of landscape ecology
that have been published. |
